Linkin Park. Its on your list already though.

I literally listen to nothing else, they have been in my cd player for over 7 years. Only to come out to be exchanged with a different LP cd :)

"Behold... The Arctopus". It's beautiful musical chaos, they don't use time signatures.

and you're missing All That Remains, Fear Factory, Meshuggah, Ministry, Children of Bodom, 5FDP, Mudvayne, Rev Theory, Sevendust, Soilwork, Stabbing Westward, etc...

but then again my tastes seem to be slightly harder and more demonic then yours...so YMMV

All That Remains is pretty good. Other than that the list takes a turn into the metal I'm not too in to. Some other hard artists/albums: Unearth (The Oncoming Storm), August Burns Red (Messengers, Constellations), Darkest Hour (Deliver Us, Undoing Run), Misery Signals (Of Malice and The Magnum Heart).

When you feel like screaming 'thug life': Nas (Illmatic, Stillmatic), Jay-Z (Vol's 1,2+3, Reasonable Doubt), Common (Be), The Fugees (The Score), Notorious BIG (Ready to Die), Tupac (The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory, All Eyez On Me), Deltron 3030 (Deltron 3030).

Other stuff: Black Sabbath (Heaven and Hell), The Black Keys (Thickfreakness), Bob Dylan (Highway 61 Revisited, Blood On the Tracks), Creedence Clearwater Revival (Any of it!), John Mayer (Room For Squares), Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson (Thriller), Velvet Revolver (Contraband).

This is all I can think of off the top of my head...just some albums I dig.

Good lord Mike... You would really ask me to tell you what I'm listening to? Besides your heavy breathing? :P

Err... lately, I've been digging a lot of the stuff that Nathan has, to be honest. It's good music for a physical job like mine, gets you in the mood. Here's a short list of bands that have 'wowed' me in the last few years:

-Rise Against
-Authority Zero
-Straylight Run
-Flogging Molly
-Trivium

You know, I could go on for a while, but get this much at least. Good stuff, all standouts in their genres in their own right. :)

I know I can't be the ONLY geek on here. Anyone else ever heard of OCRemix? They take various video game themes, remix them, remake them, orchestrate them, etc... some of it's pretty damned good, if you're into that sort of thing.

the list is far too long. if u can think of it i most likely listen to it w/the exception of stuff like polka. metal, alterative, goth, industrial, country, rap, hip hop, r&b, freestyle, adult contemporary, oldies, classic rock, classical, jazz, anime, japanese hip hop and such, opera, rock opera, trance, techno, house and anything inbetween i may have left out. including even talk radio if the debate is interesting enough. my ears are all over the place i guess.

Hah, your ears are as slutty as mine! Itunes just went from Jim Croce to "See You Space Cowboy" from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack...

And for what it's worth, Weird Al is *kinda* polka, is he not?

i never really thought of him as such, but i did some searching on the subject and it appears u are right. i guess he (and other artists like him, though i doubt there is one) would be my exception to polka. so in closing i guess u can add polka to the types of music i listen to as well. lol
