hey, my name's sam, i got a 87' mkiii and i'm in some need of help! its been sitting for about a year it keeps over heating im just not sure what to do. i know how to work a wrench and i want to learn more im just wondering what steps i need to take to get it to be a a solid daily driver! looking forward to talkin with you all.

Whats up, welcome to the FORUM. First off you started with the wrong car for a "solid daily driver." Just kidding. I'm not a mechanical wizard like most of the guys here but your going to have to be more specific to what the problem is for someone to help you. EXAMPLE: Does it overheat while idling or running? White smoke coming out of the exhaust? Any fluid leakage? Shit like that.
