[JPTL]

Although I like Supras, it's my dad who's been a Supra fanatic since the first one rolled off the assembly line. He's now 81, and has to reluctantly sell his '85 MKII. It may turn out that he'll need to sell his '91 Turbo (auto) as well. Driving sporty cars is becoming harder & harder for him to safely do.
I'm helping him with all of his affairs there in Catalina: household help, local contacts, and transportation. This involves me having to sell at least the '85 on his behalf.
What makes this difficult is threefold:

• I live on the other side of the county, in Maryland
  
• Although I'm a car guy, I'm not an expert on Supras
  
• He really doesn't want to part with either of his cherished cars

The upside is that I've become familiar with both cars and documented their condition with photos (and video for the '85) so I'll be able to properly represent each car as I sell it. For now, it's the '85 that I need to sell.

The other upside is that he's not in any huge hurry to sell it. It's being stored in a carport so time isn't an issue.
I'll post a specific thread about this car, it's details, links to photos, etc.
Newbie-specific comments:
I initially posted to the CelicaSupra forum and it was suggested by one of their members (and a member here) that I try a more local community. So here I am. I figured that Tier 2 would be a good start, since I don't want to be perceived as taking & not giving here

Glad you were able to make it over here. And I hope that one of our members can give the MK2 a proper home!

For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's a near identical twin to my blue '86. Only difference is some custom door speakers and the one year difference (thus it doesn't have a 3rd brake light).
